Story

The Chinese myths called it the Blood Moon. Modern science referred to the same phenomenon as a total lunar eclipse. It was considered ominous, a harbinger of difficult times. To this day, she’d heard stories about staying indoors when the blood moon rose, to avoid the accursed moon casting its evil spell. But she also knew better than to pay heed to these old wives’ tales and appreciate the beauty of the moon, when it was bereft of light. Over the years, she’d come to look forward to these nights when the moon glowed red – they were rare and precious and, in those moments, it almost felt as though magic was real.

Description

Handloom cotton is handwoven by our weavers on mechanical looms. The process is time and labour-intensive, using techniques that have been passed down across generations of artisans. The resultant fabric is extraordinarily soft, breathable and resilient, and also drapes very well. Using handloom cotton not only helps us to work with smaller weavers but also plays an important role in reducing the environmental footprint of the garments we produce.
